Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday shared a photo of himself and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman with US President Donald Trump from a dinner hosted by the US president for world leaders attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The prime minister shared the photo on his official Facebook page after the White House released it, capturing the moment alongside President Trump.

Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the dinner on September 22 night at the Lotte New York Palace hotel in New York for visiting heads of state, government leaders, and their spouses.

Earlier during the trip, the Prime Minister and Dr Zubaida Rahman also attended a breakfast hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres for heads of state and government.

The White House released an additional photo featuring Dr Zubaida Rahman alongside US First Lady Melania Trump during a special meeting of first ladies held on the sidelines of the UN session.

During that gathering, Melania Trump unveiled her global children's welfare initiative, titled "Fostering the Future Together," inviting international spouses to participate.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman travelled to New York on September 21 at the head of a 35-member delegation to attend the 81st UNGA, where he delivered his maiden address as prime minister on September 24 before returning home on September 27.
